The last night of the year, and I'm not about to spend hours in the kitchen! This is why I have a Simple Menu Plan for New Years Eve. 10 tasty snack type foods, where most don't even require an oven. | EverydayMadeFresh.com

What does New Years Eve look like in your home? I can say that we are watching the NYC countdown to the big ball drop, and we've got something fun to snack on.

I don't really cook dinner for New Years Eve because we always have a few different munchie type foods. Also by the time the afternoon rolls around Kelsie is opening her hourly countdown bags. So I don't really have time to prep and cook anything.

Plus, I'll be honest, I'm also burnt out. We are coming off of two big food related holidays back to back. I don't want to be in the kitchen any more than I already have to be!

Oh, let me tell you about the countdown bags, because they are so much fun for kids!

The countdown bags usually have some little something in them to help her celebrate the new year in a fun way. Slime, glow sticks, poppers, candy, sparklers, New Years Eve hat, New Years Eve glowing glasses, balloons, well you get the idea.

Just cheap fun little things that I've picked up in the dollar section at Target. I put them in basic brown lunch bags with a time on the front. She looks forward to opening them up each hour until the big ball drop.

So let's get to this Simple Menu Plan for New Years Eve...These recipes are snack type dishes. Dip, nuts, snack mixes, cheeseballs, etc. But they are all rather simple to toss together!

I'm sure you're like me, you like simple when it comes to the holidays.

That's a great mix of party food. We don't do too much for New Years either. After two months of eating everything, we are pretty much tapped out.

What a great menu. We don't cook a big a meal or dinner for that matter on New Years Eve, we also have great snaking foods. I will definitely be adding a few of these to my menu. I love the mini pizza pies. The Countdown Bags seem like such a fun idea, I think I'm going to have to do that for the kids.

WOW! That's a nice mix of recipes to ring in the New Year. We always get together on NYE and it's all about the appetizers. That taco twist on the classic Chex mix would definitely be a favorite with my family.
