Looking for the perfect dip for that bag of carrots sticks or cut celery? I’ve got the answer for you with The Best Veggie Dip Ever! It’s perfect for carrots, celery, strips of bell pepper, and even plain potato chips!
Here’s the deal…claiming that a recipe is the best ever, you really have to have had more than just your own family’s opinions on said recipe. Or do you?? My family’s opinion counts for everything, because Zack and the girls love all sorts of food and flavors. I’ve mentioned before how I got really lucky in the kids eating their vegetable department; the girls will go to town on spinach, asparagus, brussel sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, you get the idea. They request those vegetables over green beans and peas all the time. I’m not even sure how they are my kids!
I wouldn’t touch anything like that growing up with a 10 foot pole. As a matter of fact just the thought of some of that when I was a kid would have had me dry heaving. My gag reflex is crazy sensitive, and sometimes even the smell of something like collard greens would have me running away. Again, super blessed that my kids are the exact opposite of myself at that age, otherwise it would make my blogging job even harder.
I’m not sure what I did differently than my parents, if anything. I mean I’ve read over and over to feed them a variety from the day they start eating table food, and I always did. My parents did too though. I mean I have been told I used to actually eat some of those vegetables. I’m just not sure what changed in my palette to only like peanut butter or cheese. But it did. Thankfully that is changing.
Myself on the other hand…I have gotten better, really. (I do love these Sweet and Spicy Roasted Brussel Sprouts!) I guess my tastes just never grew up? Of course I’m not going to eat plain sprouts or broccoli anytime soon. It’s gotta be dressed in something or roasted. Roasting veggies just makes them better. I will say that I even like the edges a little bit well done. But just the edges! I don’t want to eat charred bits, bite after bite.
Just because you love veggies, doesn’t mean that sometimes you don’t want to dip them in a really tasty dip! I mean carrots and ranch dressing are still one of my favorites! Right? So yummy! But sometimes, you just don’t want ranch. Oh, is that just me? Well, let me change your mind.
With the best veggie dip ever recipe you’ve got all sorts of flavors that just pair perfectly with carrots, celery, and bell pepper strips. Now, I don’t like raw bell peppers, but the girls do. As a matter of fact when Kelsie went to public school, she would request bell pepper strips over carrot sticks most of the time.
I took a favorite dip recipe of mine and made it even better with ingredients that you probably already have on hand. Oh, y’all the best part…this dip is based on 100% Greek yogurt! Ahhh, all that protein! Yay!!
