These Rice Krispies Christmas Cookies have the perfect texture - soft, chewy, and crispy! With a hint of vanilla and candy coated chocolate candies, these make for a simple treat during the holidays.
Y'all we are 13 days away from the big day - that is literally less than two weeks!! I am not ready! I haven't finished shopping for anyone but our nieces and nephews. My kids, nope, not finished shopping for. My husband, he hasn't even told me anything that he wants.
I know that he hasn't gotten anything for me yet, because my list that I sent him, wouldn't open on his work computer. I'm way behind in the gift shopping department this year.
However, I am very ahead of schedule when it comes to baking holiday goodies. I've actually been on top of cookies and toffee. I've made so many cookies this year; my cookie jar has been overflowing. I'm not going to complain one bit though, and I know that my family won't either.
Let me tell y'all about these cookies. They are exploding with textures and flavor. They are the perfect soft baked cookie with a twist. The Rice Krispies® provide the perfect crispy element for these cookies.
I put what in my cookies? I know, it sounds weird. Most people look at a box of Kellogg's® Rice Krispies® and think marshmallows. We do too, I mean I've made quite a few different Rice Kripspies® treats over the years.
However, there is just something about these cookies that are far better than any Rice Krisipes® treat ever thought about being. Sounds complicated you say? No way! It's literally the basic of basic cookie doughs with a little something special.
Ingredients in Rice Krispies Christmas Cookies:
- Rice Krispies
- flour
- butter
- salt
- sugar
- brown sugar
- vanilla
- eggs
- baking soda
- M&M's
How do you make Rice Krispies Christmas Cookies?
- Whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda.
- Cream the butter and both sugars.
- Mix in the eggs and vanilla.
- Add the dry ingredients.
- Fold in the Rice Krispies.
- Stir in the M&M's.
- Bake.
See, what did I tell ya'll? Simple. Simple cookies are the best. Oh, and the fact that these only take 9 minutes to bake makes my family happy! I let them cool just a moment, and then we chow down! These make about 3-dozen cookies. Tons! Plenty for you, a cookie exchange, your family, friends, and whoever else you decide deserves one of the best cookies ever!
Kelsie is usually the one to make these cookies because it's just a simple recipe. This time however my cookie helper was watching a movie that we grabbed at Walmart while we were shopping for the Kellogg's® Rice Krispies®.
