A Vanilla Milk Steamer is the perfect little drink to enjoy before bedtime. A dash of sugar, a splash of vanilla, and a sprinkle of cinnamon make this simple and tasty.

I don't know about y'all, but I'm on my feet in the kitchen far more during the fall and winter than any other time of the year.
Being a food blogger I'm in the kitchen more often than normal. You'll usually find me mixing up a batch of cookies, or putting together a pie, and even creating recipes for January.
No joke y'all, I made a green smoothie bowl and a salad, both for January! Not to mention the cookies that I made this morning.
No matter what recipe I'm working on, I'll be on my feet for a lot longer than I anticipate. If I'm not actually making anything, I'm washing up all the dishes from earlier in the day.
Even though we've owned one of those fancy padded kitchen mats, they didn't seem to help the aches and pains in my lower back from standing on my feet for hours.
I'm sure y'all are right there with me, right? With the holidays coming, we are all testing out new recipes for our family and friends.
All that recipe testing finds us on our feet, with aching lower backs. Then there is the prep for the big feast. Prepping, cooking, baking, cleaning, all on our feet.
On those long days that I've spent hours in the kitchen I only ask for a couple of things; a hot shower, muscle rub, a nice cup of my Vanilla Milk Steamer to get me to sleep, and my TYLENOL® PM to keep me asleep.
Wanna grab my favorite way to stay asleep when I have aches and pains?
You can find them at Walgreens. In our local one it was located on the pain aisle.
TYLENOL® PM is a brand that I know and trust. It was something that my parents always had on hand when I was growing up.
My dad would take them after a long hard days work in the yard. So it was only natural that I keep them in my own home for my husband and I. Always take them as indicated on the package.
Warm milk has long been known to help many fall asleep. So be sure to make this Vanilla Milk Steamer before taking your TYLENOL® PM.
Here's what you'll need to make this simple Vanilla Milk Steamer.
In a small sauce pot, over medium heat, combine the milk
and the sugar. Whisk until it's really warm. You don't want a boil.
Turn off the heat, pour in the vanilla. Now you're going to whisk until the top is nice and frothy.
Pour into a mug, sprinkle with cinnamon, and enjoy!
Remember after spending hours on your feet in the kitchen this holiday season, to help you get to sleep take a hot shower to soothe those muscles, have someone give yours muscles a quick rub, and enjoy a cup of my Vanilla Milk Steamer.
Milk Steamer tips:
- Don't want to whisk vigorously to get it frothy on top? You can pick up an inexpensive milk frother. It comes in handy for all those lattes you want to make at home. Plus, my daughter loves chocolate milk made with it.
- Top with whipped cream
- Instead of sugar and vanilla extract, you can now buy Starbucks Vanilla Syrup.
Sugar alternatives?
I have made this using agave. A friend of mine use monk fruit sweetener. You could also use coconut sugar.
