The Best and the Easiest Homemade Hot Cocoa

With allergies to soy and tree nuts, it is dang near impossible to find a pre-made hot cocoa mix that you can have. Don't get me wrong, I have found one, but it's just so easy to make it homemade, why not? With 4 simple ingredients you can have hot cocoa in 1 minute and 30 seconds. Seriously!

What do you need?
1 cup milk (or any milk substitute of choice, vanilla almond milk is glorious here, if you can have it)
1 ½ tablespoons semi-sweet chocolate chips - Enjoy Life brand is super allergy friendly!
1 tablespoon cocoa - We adore Trader Joe's!
2 teaspoon sugar

What do you do?
Heat your milk in a microwave safe mug.
Pour your semi-sweet chocolate chips, cocoa, and sugar in. Give it a good stir.
Put your drink back in the microwave and heat for an additional 30 seconds.
Stir once more and enjoy!
