Why we love Cheribundi, the tart cherry juice, and why we think you should too!
Before an email several weeks ago, I had never heard of Cheribuni before. I do however remember watching Dr. Oz years ago, and he said something about drinking tart cherry juice before bed would promote a more restful sleep. At the time, I made note of that, and stuck it inside a desk drawer. <—I do this with a lot of educational stuff. I never searched for tart cherry juice, and continued my nightly antihistamine dosage to help put me to sleep.
When I received an email from Cheribundi I decided to take a look-see, and read what all the hype was about, remembering the tart cherry juice from years ago. I’m a girl who likes to read up on things because I’ve been caught up in gimmicks and quick fixes one too many times. After reading over pretty much the whole site, I couldn’t wait to give Cheribundi a try!
When I received Cheribundi, I was thrilled to see that not only did they give enough of me to give the seven-day challenge a try, but they also included a few bottles so that Zack and the girls could try the juice out for themselves. So what did we think?
Initial thoughts, delicious! Kelsie wasn’t that fond of it though. Although her palette is fairly sophisticated (she’s loves brussel sprouts and salmon y’all), she is not a fan of cranberry juice and it’s tartness. With that being said, Cheribundi is tart cherry juice! It mostly resembles cranberry juice to me, but better. It’s tart, but not so tart that it makes you cringe.
Of course we aren’t just all about the flavor of Cheribundi, I love the benefits! First in one small 8oz bottle, there are 50 cherries per bottle! That’s a lot. Can you imagine sitting and juicing 50 cherries? Anyway. Between pain management, athletic recovery, and improved sleep, tart cheery juice is very beneficial. Thousands of athletes from professional to college level drink Cheribundi, and have mentioned that they have a faster recovery time and decreased muscle soreness. Some Cheribundi drinkers have said that the tart cherry juice helps manage their pain associated with stuff like arthritis. Those of us that are drinking it for sleep? Well, I can vouch for this, I have noticed that my quality and quantity of sleep has improved. I’ve been using a step/sleep tracker since Christmas, and really noticed that my deep sleep had jumped, as well as the decrease in number of times that I wake up in the middle of the night. I am finally waking up in the mornings feeling well rested! No more antihistamine induced nights of sleep.
