Nothing says summer like fresh peaches - and these Fresh Peach Scones & Vanilla Bean Glaze are the perfect summer breakfast or sweet treat!
Preheat oven to 400 degrees, and line a pizza pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
Whisk together the egg, buttermilk, sour cream, and vanilla bean paste together in a small bowl. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and brown sugar. Using a pastry cutter, mix in the butter until you have a wet sandy texture.
Pour the wet mix into the dry, and stir to combine with your hands or a spatula. Drop the dough onto a floured surface, and flatten into a 7 inch round disk. Slice into 8 pie slices, and place onto parchment lined pizza pan. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven, and place on a cooling rack to cool completely.
Once cooled, whisk together the ingredients for the glaze, and dip the tops of the scones in. Allow the glaze to set up before serving.
