Just in time for Valentine's Day, these Red Velvet Chocolate Chip Cookies are rich, and loaded with dark chocolate chips!
In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder together. Set aside.
In a large bowl, attached to the stand mixer, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and sugar for two minutes. Add the egg, milk, vanilla, and food coloring. Beat until combined. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry. Stir together, until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Cover and chill in the refrigerator at least one hour.
When ready to bake, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Scoop about 1 1/2 tablespoons of cookie dough out, roll into balls, and sit on parchment paper. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Allow to cool for 2 minutes before removing to cooling racks to cool completely.
