  • Mini Pretzel Twists - enough to fill a 9X13 inch baking dish
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line a 9X13 inch baking sheet with foil, and spray well with non-stick cooking spray. (YES, you need to do both)
  3. Place a single layer of mini pretzel twists in the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a medium sized pot, combine the butter and sugar, over medium to high heat.
  5. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil.
  6. Once a boil is reached, reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Do not simmer too high/fast because your sugar will burn!
  7. Stir frequently. - I actually stirred the entire 5 minutes.
  8. After 5 minutes, remove from the heat, wait 30 seconds, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
  9. Pour over the pretzels.
  10. Bake for 5 minutes, or until the toffee becomes bubbly.
  11. Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 3 minutes.
  12. Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly across the top.
  13. Allow to rest for 3 minutes.
  14. Using a rubber spatula, spread smooth into an even layer.
  15. Sprinkle the top with sprinkles of your choosing.
  16. Allow to set completely before cutting.
  17. I place mine in the fridge for at least an hour.
  18. Remove by lifting the foil, and slice/break up to serve.
