Killer Fudge Frosting

  • 1 cup butter room temperature
  • 1 cup dark chocolate cocoa powder - regular will do
  • 8 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2/3 cup boiling water - I do this in my Pyrex dish in the microwave


  1. In a mixer combine all of your ingredients and only 4 cups of the powdered sugar.
  2. Mix for 30 seconds, until combined, turn off the mixer, add the remaining 4 cups of powdered sugar.
  3. Mix for another 30 seconds to get everything incorporated.
  4. Increase speed to medium and mix for one minute.
  5. Allow frosting to cool for 15 to 20 minutes before you frost anything.
