Game time is here! In the south we do it up big! Big games call for big flavors, and this nacho cheese sauce is loaded with flavor, without the processed cheese. It’s one of our favorites, and it’s so simple to make it will quickly become one of your favorites too! I grabbed my ingredients, just a handful I promise, and while I was at Walmart I went ahead and grabbed Viva® Vantage® Towels for quick and easy clean up. Let’s face it cooking anything is messy, and since Viva® Vantage® Towels are great for grabbing those messes, I knew that I could have my nacho cheese sauce ready to go, and clean up as I went, leaving more time to watch the game! It may seem like a lot of steps y’all, but it’s not. I can have this made in 20 minutes, and so can you!

Brown one pound ground beef, and toss in a pinch or two of our better then the packet! homemade taco seasoning.
Next up, drain any grease you may have. You may be able to skip this step, if you have little to no grease.
Chop 3 tablespoons of sliced jalapenos. You can always buy the pre-chopped, we just like the jarred sliced better. *Tip: I saw on a cooking show once that if your cutting board is sliding around, you can use wet paper towels under the cutting board to keep if from moving around.
In a sauce pot over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter and stir in 2 tablespoons flour. Stir until combined.
Slowly pour in two cups milk, while stirring constantly. Continue stirring for about 5 minutes or until your sauce has thickened.
Add 2 1/2 cups of cheese, in small amounts stirring after each addition, until you have added all of your cheese, and your cheeses are melted.
Toss in your chopped jalapenos.
Stir in your ground beef, and your ready to serve!
You can serve in a bowl so that you can dip your chips, or you can plate up with chips, nacho cheese sauce, and other toppings that your family loves. We love re-fried beans and sour cream.
Even though this is so simple to throw together for your next big game, I made several little messes along the way. But thankfully I was able to get them cleaned as I went with a couple of wet Viva® Vantage® Towels !
What do you serve for game time at your house? I’d love to know!
