These free Meal Planning Printables are the first step in making meal planning a breeze!
I am a meal planning shark! <---- If there was a such thing, that's what I would be called, seriously. We have always been on a bi-weekly income so I've been meal planning since the day we were married.
I can't really recall a time when I didn't sit down and figure out how many meals I needed to cook, and jot it down on the calendar, a piece of paper, a napkin, or whatever, and then write down the ingredients needed, that we didn't already have on hand. I don't remember if my mother did it this way, and I just followed suite, or if it was just the only way that I thought it would be possible.
I've printed out dozens of grocery list/weekly menus over the years, and every time one thing always seemed to occur; there was never ever really enough room to right down everything on the grocery list!
So, I made my own. For the longest time they were just generic. Then I learned Photoshop and started adding different elements to make them prettier. What? I can't be the only one that wants to look at a pretty grocery list and menu hanging on the fridge! Right?
As I've mentioned before, I've been working on something for y'all. I want to help make meal planning easier. The first step is to print these meal planning printables.
I've included a Pantry Staples printable, Meals and Groceries Printable, and Our Favorite Recipes Printable. The list of pantry staples is exactly what I have in my pantry at all times. I keep the list inside of a sheet protector so that as I run out of something I can use a dry erase marker and put an "x" beside it or mark it off - this way, I know that I need to add that to my grocery list when I sit down to make it.
Trust me, you want to have something like this, because there is nothing worse than pouring the rest of your salt in the shaker, go grocery shopping, come home to make a recipe three nights later and realize you don't have salt in your pantry to refill the shaker! Not that I've done anything like that before. 😉
