Sure you could buy peanut butter, but this, THIS is so much better! You are only minutes away from this Homemade Honey Roasted Peanut Butter - 2 Ingredients! You'll never go back to buying it.

Y'all, I know peanut butter. I have eaten every brand of peanut butter on the market, ever. Well, ever, as in, since I was able to start buying my own peanut butter.
I love smooth or crunchy. I prefer one brand over the other, but that isn't the point of this post. This post is to tell you to stop buying peanut butter altogether.
You are literally minutes away from this 2 ingredient peanut butter. It's WAY better for you than any store bought peanut butter. And there is no oily top that you have to stir before dipping in. Win!
Y'all know that oily top I'm talking about? The one where they swear on the jar that this all natural peanut butter is "no stir". HA! Who are they kidding? I have never bought one that didn't need stirring. Never.
I've done the whole store the jar turned upside down trick, but then you know what happens? The bottom (well top) gets dried out. It's just weird.
If I can make an all natural peanut butter at home, without oil pooling on the surface, or having to store it upside down, then why can't they?
Am I serious about two ingredients? Yep! Honey roasted peanuts and oil. That' sit. You don't even need a lot of oil either. You can use whatever oil you want, we used avocado because we are digging it lately for all things. Does my peanut butter taste like avocado? No!
Does your store peanut butter taste like the palm oil they use? Well maybe. I have no idea what palm oil tastes like to be honest.
But this is really the best peanut butter you've ever tried, so perhaps that store bought stuff does taste like palm oil!
You know the slogan choosy moms choose jiff? Well my friends, that is false advertising. Choosy moms choose homemade. Hands down!
Don't believe me? Make this, and then tell me which you choose!
This 2 Ingredient Honey Roasted Peanut Butter makes the best peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. It makes perfect peanut butter and cinnamon toast. Not to mention those spoonfuls are so much tastier to snack on!
Ingredients:
- honey roasted peanuts
- avocado oil
How do you make homemade honey roasted peanut butter?
Place you peanuts into a blender and blend. Add the oil as needed. You won't need much!
How to flavor homemade peanut butter:
Add 1 teaspoon cinnamon or ½ tablespoon cocoa powder. If you add the cocoa powder, taste it. If you need sweetener, I'd add a teaspoon of honey at a time until it's sweetened to your liking.
Here's a few ideas to use your homemade peanut butter in:
- Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Peanut Butter Oatmeal Balls
- Peanut Butter & Jelly Overnight Oats
2 Ingredient Honey Roasted Peanut Butter
Sure you could buy peanut butter, but this, THIS is so much better! You are only minutes away from this 2 Ingredient Honey Roasted Peanut Butter! You’ll never go back to buying it.
Ingredients
- 2 cups honey roasted peanuts
- 1 ½ tablspoons avocado oil (or other oil of your choosing. You may not need all of this.
Instructions
- Place the peanuts into a food processor and/or blender. (I have the Ninja, and love it) Pulse until the peanuts are finely ground. This is when you add the oil and pulse again until blended. I didn't use all 1 ½ tablespoons. I probably used about a tablespoon and a quarter. You can use more or less oil. You just want to find a texture you like. I chose a slightly thicker texture from smooth.
- Store in the fridge. I used a mason jar for storing mine.

Great recipe. We've made peanut butter a few times and it's super easy and everyone loves. I usually whip some up for my satay sauce. Avocado oil? Interesting. I will have to try that. We've used honey, coconut and other oils and you're right it doesn't take much.

I haven't ever made honey roasted peanut butter using avocado before. Will have to try this out since we enjoy both of these flavors.

It has never occurred to me to make my own peanut butter! I bet it is better for you, too. I bet it would be great with coconut oil. Or even different variety of peanuts.

I love peanut butter, as a spread I like crunchy and as a side snack I like smooth. We used to make it back in Zambia but too lazy in the UK we just buy now
